Information on Rafferty Stadium and how to donate:
The proposed stadium is estimated to cost $9 million. With the Rafferty family gift and pledges from other alumni and parents, over half of that amount has now been committed. Efforts are still under way to have all funds raised for the stadium by December 2013. Please click the link below for more information on how you can participate in this initiative...

This information is only the Stag website's Men's and Women's Lacrosse pages. I'm sure that Development has a plan and their own way of raising funds for Rafferty Stadium but you would expect to at least see the architect's rendering on the front page of the University website, Stag website and the AR website, especially if the private aspect of the campaign has accomplished it's goals and now the public part of the fundraising is in effect. If over half of the $9 million already has been committed and pledged then you would expect to see more information somewhere especially the stated goal is "to have all the funds raised by December 2013".
When the Egan Chapel was funded and built there was a plaque placed in the lobby with various levels of donors recognized from the largest to the smaller as an incentive to reward donations and donors. You would expect a similar campaign to have a plaque at the entrance of Rafferty Stadium for donors and their donations. Why not have a Buy-A-Brick campaign too like many other schools have or a giving tree plaque of donors like churches, parishes and libraries do?
Hofstra's Buy A Brick campaign for their Field Hockey Stadium entrance:
Hempstead, NY - Help support the Hofstra Field Hockey program by purchasing a personalized brick to create a walkway from the entrance of the Hofstra Field Hockey Stadium to the bleachers. Each blue stone brick costs $250.00 and can be personalized up to three lines with a maximum of 15 characters per line.
