this team does not appear to show up in the second half. After last season, all I ever heard was how Grennan, Davis, and Chappell were shooters. Who's coming next year? I'm getting depressed.

Guys, I am a Fairfield stag pumper for life, but we were embarrassed today. The performance and coaching was terrible. I want to see the silver linings this season, but it's really an excuse to keep blaming the situation on youth and inexperience. Sydney embarrassed Malcolm by putting him in the game down 26 points with three minutes to go. The expectations of this program have risen and this is not worth the half a million dollars a year we put on our head coach. I don't agree with this statement at all. Malcolm needs to get some minutes, I don't care if the minutes in this case came with the game essentially over. I do think Sydney is missing an oppportunity to get some things out of Gilbert. If he isn't ready to play much yet, use this player strategically. Press 3 or 4 minutes a half and put gilbert under the basket to defend against a broken press. Despite any other limitations the kid may have, certainly he can block shots. This would give the kid more confidence and honestly give Sidibe 3 or 4 minutes a half to catch his breath. It would also allow Sibibe to play more aggressively when he is in there. Having a second team of players that come in for a block of minutes to implement a specific strategy like a press would be a great way to work some of these other players like Chappel into games to continue to give them experience. I understand the need for a shorter rotation, but there is still room to use players strategically to capitalize on particular strengths they may have.

We can't score, dribble, defend, shoot, make a FT, or inbound the ball. But other than that we're quite good.
