Game video looks like it is available from the Niagara web site, not MAAC TV. Does anyone else think it is strange that the official MAAC TV site doesn't include all the conference teams?
With @niagara, @canisius, @spc, and Marist left on the regular season, I would consider going:
2-2 as improvement 3-1 as good improvement 4-0 as great improvement
IMO, it is extrememely important for these players to achieve some level of success/improvement this year..... especially for their confidence So beating Niagara is really a key to all of this. I also think that these remaining games will be the ones that are remembered as far as player improvement. The play of Coleman vs Malcolm have gone in opposite directions, and who finishes better, could have a big impact on how our frontcourt looks. If Malcolm can show that he is our Center of the future, that would also have an impact on Sidibe's role.
And I would love to see a leader emerge at 2G from Jenkins, Chappell or Johnston. If Johnston emerges, doe he get a scholarship again next year??
To beat Niagara, we need more than just Mo Barrow. I thought KJ was not as aggressive vs Rider as he usually is. And Marcus has to expand his game to the inside (Oboards, Alley Oops, Slashes). The key to the game is to not foul Mason.
#10 Niagara (6-21)(3-13) is (5-7) at home and have averaged 1,332 fans in their 2,400 seat Gallagher Center. They have lost their last 6 games in a row and are (2-8) in their last 10 games. However, in the last three home games they have 1 point losses to #1 Iona and #2 Manhattan and a 6 point loss to #3 Canisius. On Sunday night they got clobbered by 18 points at #2 Manhattan. They are most likely very much looking forward to playing #11 Fairfield at home tonight and also looking to stay out of last place with only 4 regular season games left.

The Stags (5-22)(2-14) are (1-13) on the road. They are also (2-8) in their last 10 games but have only lost the last 3 games in a row. The Stags lost by just 4 points 63-67 to Niagara at the WBA on January 16.

Sweeping the Buffalo trip is never easy even when Fairfield is playing well. Fairfield has traveled to Buffalo in 60 of the last 65years. Regardless of how many games they have played in Buffalo, the Stags have only won 2 or more games in Buffalo in a season only 4 times,. Here's a recap of the Buffalo games over the years for anyone interested. This list includes games versus Buffalo and St. Bonnies.
Year In Buffalo Overall vs Buffalo schools 64-65 1-0 1-1 65-66 1-0 3-0 (Beat St. Bonaventure, Canisius and Niagara) 66-67 1-2 1-3 67-68 1-0 1-0 68-69 0-2 1-2 69-70 1-0 1-2 70-71 0-2 1-2 71-72 0-1 1-2 72-73 1-0 2-0 73-74 0-1 2-1 74-75 1-1 2-3 (Fairfield lost to St. Bon and Niagara in ECAC tourney) 75-76 0-1 2-3 76-77 0-1 2-1 77-78 1-0 2-0 (Beat St. Bonaventure and won at Canisius) 78-79 0-1 1-1 79-80 0-1 1-1 80-81 0-0 1-0 81-82 0-1 0-1 82-83 1-0 2-0 (Beat Niagara and Canisius) 83-84 0-1 1-1 84-85 0-0 0-0 85-86 0-0 0-0 86-87 0-0 0-0 87-88 0-0 0-0 88-89 0-0 0-1 89-90 0-0 3-0 (home wins vs. Niagara, Canisius, and FF over Niagara in Maac tourney) 90-91 0-2 0-4 (lost canisius 3 times, niagara once) 91-92 0-2 1-3 92-93 1-1 2-2 93-94 0-2 1-3 94-95 0-2 1-3 95-96 2-2 3-3 (Fairfield beat Niagara but lost to Canisius in Maac tourney) 96-97 1-2 1-4 (Fairfield was sweep in regular season by Niagara and Canisius but beat Canisius in Maac Championship game. Earlier 91-45 loss to was worst margin in defeat in program's history). 97-98 0-2 1-3 98-99 0-2 1-3 99-00 0-2 2-2 00-01 2-0 3-1 01-02 1-1 2-2 02-03 1-1 2-2 03-04 2-0 3-1 04-05 1-1 2-2 05-06 0-2 1-4 06-07 1-1 3-1 07-08 1-1 2-2 08-09 1-1 2-2 09-10 1-1 5-1 10-11 2-0 4-0 11-12 2-0 4-0 12-13 1-1 1-3
2-0 this trip is a tall order, but of course if the stags won both games it would be a real confidence builder.

...No team in the MAAC is performing worse on offense than Fairfield. The Stags are last in the league in both scoring (62.1 ppg) and field goal percentage (.394), as well as eighth in assists (11.0 apg). Gilbert (13.6 ppg, 5.4 rpg) and Barrow (13.6 ppg, 5.0 rpg) are the top scorers on the roster. Rose (7.9 ppg, 3.6 apg) is the team's leader in assists. They are holding foes to just 69.7 ppg, which is the second-best yield in the conference.
In the loss to Manhattan, the Purple Eagles were paced by Marcus Ware and his 19 points, while Antoine Mason and Tahjere McCall responded with 17 and 16 points, respectively. Manhattan limited the Niagara to just eight field goals through the first 20 minutes of play, en route to a 41-30 lead at the break. In the second half, Niagara showed signs of life with an impressive 61.9 percent showing from the field, but at the same time the Jaspers converted 58.6 percent in order to pull even further ahead and secure the lopsided home win.
Mason continues to be one of the top scorers in the nation with his 25.6 ppg, with nearly one-third of his total points coming at the free-throw line where he has knocked down 214-of-289 (.740). Despite no other player averaging in double figures, as a team, the Purple Eagles are scoring a respectable 76.1 ppg, but also giving up an unsightly 82.8 ppg on 49 percent shooting, both league-worsts, which makes it difficult to come out on the winning end from one game to the next.
As can be expected by the teams fighting to stay out of the MAAC cellar, both give up a ton of points. The Purple Eagles have been able to score though, in their attempt to make up for their defensive struggles, so expect the home team to pull out the victory.
bum, I'm with you. Our next chance at a win is at jersey city. tonight, the battle of the "cellar dwellars" is about two teams who stink. Since both teams are equally bad, I would favor NU only because they are at home.
