or at least that is what the NCAA is saying about tighter officiating of the rules that favors the offensive player and was enforced this season. Team scoring this season is 71.2 on avg. p/game up from 67.6 during the 2012/13 season. The 12/13 season scoring was the lowest since 1952. Not sure the upswing in scoring has improved the game since most of the uptick seems to come from increased foul shots. Foul calls up from 17.7 per game to 19.2 this season. Not sure the avg. fan wants to see a fouls shooting contest. Allow the players to have six fouls before disqualification, suggets Coach Ollie from u-conn,if the rules are going to be adminstered tightly by the officals. Did any one think, at the beginnning of the year it seemed as though any brush of the offensive player was a foul and then as the year continued the refs seemed to loosen up abit, allowing more contact?
