I'm sure part of the Stags' lower FG % was the heavy reliance on inexperienced players, but it was also in part due to a higher percentage of shots coming from 3 pt land.

I'm sure part of the Stags' lower FG % was the heavy reliance on inexperienced players, but it was also in part due to a higher percentage of shots coming from 3 pt land. I would say that the 2 biggest reasons for the lower FG% were: - We had a lot less transition layups this year. We only had 140 steals this year compared to 240 steals last year. - We had 3 guards last year that were good passers (Needham, Wade and Nickerson) that led to a lot of easy baskets. This year KJ was the only player that gave us good assist numbers. We certainly had much better shooters this year, but that does not matter if the Passing game is not there. So what type of players make steals and make a lot of asssits...... Guards. And our guards were inexperienced, and in some cases not talented enough.
