Monmouth had been viewed as the favorite for Kofane’s services from nearly the outset once he decided to leave Providence. He visited Monmouth over Easter weekend and now, he is a Hawk.
“I think it’s the best fit for me as far what I want to accomplish on and off the court for my last year of eligibility,” Kofane told the Asbury Park Press on Friday afternoon via text message. blogs.app.com/hawks/2014/04/25/fifth-year-transfer-brice-kofane-to-monmouth/

Good athlete and energy guy who is particularly good at rejecting shots. Never showed much offense, and that probably is the reason that he played less and less minutes for Cooley as his career moved along at Providence. Against primarily MAAC competiion I'm sure his role will be expanded greatly as a Hawk.

And if you remember, we were after Kofane big time, 4 years ago. I think he was one of our top prospects.
