Link to the All Star Game that Jerome Segura played in during March. It’s not just Highlights, it’s the actual game. Video is about 90 minutes long. Start watching it 22 minutes into the video, if you just want to see Segura. Its Texas vs Louisiana. Segura finished with 5 points on 2 of 6 shooting, which included 1-3 from the arc. Segura is certainly a PG. He showed a talent for getting into the lane with ease by knowing how to use a pick, and has a very good cross over. He used both of those skills to blow by his man for a left-handed layup in the half court. On his 3 pointer, the announcer said he was an “Exceptional 3-point shooter”. What I also liked about his game is that he was able to stop in the middle of his drive and take a 5-10 footer. However he missed both of those shots.
He is quick, but not overly quick (more like Wade, than Goode). However he knows how to use head-fakes and hesitation dribbles to penetrate. While he played good defense, I did not see him steal the ball. And did not seem him rebounding much. Good Ballhandler. He will certainly challenge KJ for the starting PG position because he is a quadruple threat…… Take outside shot, Drive for layup, stop for the mid-Range jumper, or dive and dish. He did all 4 of those in this game.
