Also from Illinois is 6-6 Danny Ogele..... another player we are after.
Illinois Celtics @celticsillinois ยท Jun 19 Fairfield University has also checked in with 6'6" Danny Ogele of St. Ignatius and 6'7" Elyjah Goss of Plainfield East.
We really can't promise a 2015 recruit a chance at playing time at 3, 4, or 5 unless it's a stud like the kid from Norwalk. But with Amadou, Kirkland, Coleman and Malcolm gone by 2016 we will need one or more players like these two prospects. I'm sure we are going after them hard.

And (very big replacement needed), Marcus. But regarding Norwalk, if there was some way to get EITHER Kane or Enoch on board, even if it meant a year of prep school to clear space, I would certainly be excited. They both are very talented and have a tremendous upside!

If all our players were All-MAAC or had All MAAC potential, then I agree, we cannot promise a lot of PT at the 3,4, or 5. But, I feel that at this time, only Marcus and Amadou have the potential to be All-MAAC (Pre or Post-season). The others are TBD. For 2015, I think we need
1 guard (we already have Thomas Nolan) 1 SF/3G 1 Center
With an overcrowded graduating class for 3,4,5's in 2016, then that would point to another JUCO to be added to Degnan, Smith, and a 2015 PF/C.
Totally expected. This is why Fairfield can't get any press. We are stuck in UConn's shadow in this state, and perhaps in Quinnipiac's shadow too because they act on their vision.
Recognition will never come from the CT media or casual college BB fans unless we win the MAAC a couple of times in the next few years.
Any top level local recruit would have to have a FF connection to consider it seriously...like Nolan and FF Prep.

UConn is high on him," said his AAU coach, George Matthews. "Others that haven't officially offered are high on him. VCU is very high, Virginia has been high, Providence has been calling a lot, UCLA, Seton Hall ... it's been getting hectic.".....
UConn, VCU, UVA, PC, UCLA, Seton Hall and Fairfield - no way.
I think the only offer that Enoch has from a Big school is Memphis. There is big difference between "interest" and an "offer". Just like there is a big difference between an "official" visit and an "unofficial" visit. Enoch is taking an unofficial visit, while another 6-10 player for California will be taking an all expense paid visit to UCONN on Monday. Lets hope Enoch does not get an offer this weekend, but if he does, he will likely be over-recruited by someone else.
Enoch is loaded with potential, but he is also work-in-progress. He would be a huge get for Fairfield. BTW, Iona is also after him.
