With the win last night at Iona, the Stags have now clinched the number three seed in the MAAC Tournament for the third-straight season and the 11th time in their history. Fairfield will play in the Quarterfinal Round on Friday, March 6 at 9:30 pm against the First Round winner of the #6 seed vs. #11 Manhattan. The winner of that game will play in the Semifinal game on Sunday at 1:30 pm on ESPN3. The Semifinal Round winners will play in the Women's Championship game on Monday, March 9 at 4:30 pm on ESPNU.
Final Regular Season Game: Saturday, February 28 at #11 Manhattan (2-17)(3-25) at 2:00 pm. The Stags beat Manhattan 43-26 on February 11 in Alumni Hall.

once again joe frager shows that he is really a good coach. he took a youthful team to a 3rd place finish including navigating his way thru a very difficult O/O/C schedule. Kudos to joe!

With the very difficult OOC Schedule, this team started the season at (2-10)(1-2) and should finish the regular season on Saturday at (14-15)(13-7). That would be (12-5) since January 4.

The semifinal games are on Sunday, not Saturday.

73, it is a change from the old format, that I don't like. A play in team no longer has to win 4 games in 4 days. Win 2, get a day off, win another 2. Still a tall order, but no where near as bad.
