Don't play a difficult non conference schedule. Unless Fairfield passed on the WBI, Siena just proved why, in spite of what the conference asks, you don't play a tough non conference schedule. Siena with 19 wins in, Fairfield with 15, out. Fairfield finished 2 full games ahead of Siena in conference play. In the non conference schedule, The Stags played 2 Big 12 teams, 1 Big East team (Butler, who they beat), 1 Conference USA team, 1 AAC team, 1 A-10 team ,1 CAA team, and 1 Ivy League team. Overall records of teams played, 141-106
Siena played 3 NEC teams, 2 America East teams, 2 MAC teams, 1 Summit League team, 1 Patriot League team. They played 4 teams with losing records: FDU 10-20, Colgate 9-22, Denver 8-23, Binghamton 4-26. Overall record of teams played 115-144

Siena Women's Basketball's magical season will continue. The Saints have received a berth in the Women's Basketball Invitational and Siena, which is seeded third in the East Region, will host sixth seeded Stony Brook in a First Round matchup Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Alumni Recreation Center.
"For our program to be playing in a national postseason tournament for the first time in 12 years says a lot about where we are and where we are headed," said head coach Ali Jaques. "I'm really excited for our seniors to have the opportunity to play in front of our home fans one more time."....

I disagree, the goal of the season is to win the MAAC and play in a meaningful post season tournament (NIT, NCAA). Frager has proven he can get the team to the lesser tournaments. He needs to show recruits that we play against the best and that will provide us the edge to compete and win the MAAC.

And in a season in which they lost nearly 70% of their offense, they finished two full conference games ahead of Siena. As for recruiting, the biggest challenge Coach Frager has is recruiting to the dump that is Alumni Hall.

Agree. Recruiting against Marist and Quinnipiac is hard enough for Joe Frager but then having the "bad high school gym" that is "not up to Division 1 standards" as the program's home court is just pathetic.
