Another game where the Stags jump off to a big lead and hold on for the win. Tonight the Stags led 5-0 in the first quarter. However, with the win the Stags (9-5)(4-1) have earned at least a share of the 2015 CAA Men's Lacrosse Regular Season Title. The team finishes the home season (5-2) at Rafferty Stadium and with the two losses by only one goal in each game (Holy Cross and Towson). Regardless of seeding and location, the Stags’ semifinal opponent on Thursday, April 30 will be Massachusetts. Fairfield topped the Minutemen, 10-9, on April 4 in Amherst. Also regardless of tomorrow’s result, Towson and Drexel will meet again in the other semifinal matchup Box Score:www.fairfieldstags.com/fls/32500/Stats/MLAX/2015/ffdm0424.htm?ATCLID=210047549&SPSID=810789&SPID=137830&DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=32500Towson at Drexel tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon at 1:00 pm with FREE video: portal.stretchinternet.com/drexel/

Dominating 1st quarter that started with Will Fox at the X. I don't get the continuing offensive droughts. Does Coach become too conservative? Do the players mentally lose focus? Luckily Tyler Behring was more than up for the task in goal to preserve the lead and win. This team has way too much talent to be scrapping by these wins.

Congrats! Ugly. But a win! Amazing Defense. Hofstra on average had the best offense in the league. Lots of credit to the entire defensive squad.
Much like football, possession and control are so important in lacrosse. We do a great job here. HOWEVER, we need to figure out how to score more goals to advance far into the post season!

FF defense is solid. But the offense goes thru long droughts w/o scoring. Sound familiar stag hoop fans? I am looking forward to be at rafferty stadium on Thursday vs UMASS. It was mighty cold and windy there during Friday nights game against Hofstra. The long range forecast is more seasonable for this time of year on Thursday. Highs in the 60's.
