The inability of Fairfield Nursing graduates to pass the nursing licensing exam at a statistical sufficient level is a strong indicator of problems at the school. All professional schools are measured based on their student's first time licensing exam passage rate. I won't pretend to know what caused this. Perhaps an out of date curriculum not in sync with today's professional requirements or perhaps grade inflation and Fairfield students of today being treated with kid's gloves. This is a real black mark on the school that should be setting off alarm bells in Bellarmine Hall!

Mediocrity is tolerated under this administration - athletics, the SID, alumni relations, the facilities, and now academics.

Any other sweeping generalizations? Now we are indicting the school of nursing off of one group of kids taking a test. Of 21 who did not gain licensure, 17 took the test again and were licensed. I guess you guys never bombed a test.

Any other sweeping generalizations? Now we are indicting the school of nursing off of one group of kids taking a test. Of 21 who did not gain licensure, 17 took the test again and were licensed. I guess you guys never bombed a test. My understanding is that our nursing grads have had a historically extremely high pass rate on the exam the first time. The state said this was a problem. Our grads being lumped in with Stone Academy? C'mon. Out of what I listed - what isn't mediocre? Our athletics - Men's hoops is our marquis sport - it's record speaks for itself. Next up is Lax - when was the last time we made the NCAAs? What was our Men's ranking in the commissioners cup? Facilities - look no further than Alumni hall. Soon to follow will be the town houses - those were build 40 years ago with an expected life of 25-30 years (i know the architect). The SID / Alumni Relations - awful - not modern functioning groups - go through pages of threads for multiple examples of their ineptitude. All run by nice but not the right people.
