Cbssports.com has been running some opinion pieces where they've polled 100 D1 coaches of various levels and they print the results to a question they asked them. One question asked was -- who is the best offensive coach in college basketball?--- I was surprised to see a former Fairfield coach in the others receiving votes category. Who is the best offensive coach in all of college basketball? John Beilein, Michigan: 16.9 percent Bob McKillop, Davidson: 13.4 percent Bo Ryan, Wisconsin: 12.4 percent Mark Few, Gonzaga: 11.3 percent Mike Krzyzewski, Duke: 7.9 percent Dave Rose, BYU: 6.8 percent Mike Brey, Notre Dame and Kevin Stallings, Vanderbilt: 5.6 percent
Other coaches who received votes: Rick Byrd, Tim Cluess, Larry Krystkowiak, John Calipari, Ben Jacobson, Steve Alford, Randy Bennett, Lon Kruger, Jay Wright, Dana Altman, Ed Cooley, Steve Donahue, Jim Hayford, Kelvin Sampson.I haven't seen any Providence games since Cooley took over there but I seem to recall numerous games at Fairfield where we'd go several minutes at a time without scoring a single point. www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/25269162/candid-coaches-who-is-the-best-offensive-coach-in-college-basketball
