David Jollon, who previously served as the head coach at Dean College, has been announced as the newest addition to the Fairfield women’s basketball coaching staff. In addition to being the previous head coach at Dean, Jollon recently served as an assistant coach at Molloy College, helping the Lions to their first playoff experience in three years.
“I am honored and thrilled to join the Fairfield family and continue my coaching career under Coach Frager,” Jollon said. “Fairfield is a first-class university with an exceptional group of young and talented women returning to the program. Coach Frager and the rest of his staff are some of the top minds in college basketball. I am looking forward to helping them and the program continue its tradition of success both on the floor and in the classroom.”
“I am very pleased to welcome David to our coaching staff,” Head Coach Joe Frager said. “He brings a wealth of collegiate knowledge as both a player and a coach. He possesses the energy, organizational skill, and basketball insights to be a real asset to our staff and players.”....
Jollon replaces former Assistant Coach Gail Strumpf-Cheney, who left the program after the birth of her second child in order to spend more time with her family.
