UConn is listed as #135 with average SATs of 1250 - I'd therefore doubt these numbers are accurate.

UConn is listed as #135 with average SATs of 1250 - I'd therefore doubt these numbers are accurate. Sadly, that number is probably closer to the truth. Obviously, the recession and high cost has hurt Fairfield but the administration has never focused on making the school more selective and prestigious. Too much time wasted on FVA's side projects like 'living and learning' initiatives and other distractions. While nice, it just doesn't get us anywhere. _____ With an average SAT of 1234, the Class of 2018 outpaced last year’s freshmen by 1 point, continuing an upward trend that has supported UConn’s momentum as it pushes toward becoming one of the nation’s top-tier public research institutions. today.uconn.edu/2014/08/uconns-incoming-students-set-new-records/

Lies, damn lies, and statistics.
You can only count those that report sat scores when they are "optional."
