THE PEACOCK SCOUTING REPORT: The 3-11 record that Saint Peter’s currently holds does not show the amount of fight they have shown in games this season, especially during MAAC play. Led by Head Coach Pat Coyle, the former Head Coach of the New York Liberty of the WNBA, the Peacocks have been on the wrong side of three single-digit losses in conference play, including a one-point game against a current 5-0 Siena team. Their second win of the season was against a Brown team that was 10-1 at the time. Returning seven of their top-nine scorers from last season, the Peacocks were expected to be a more experienced team this season, and they have shown that in the close games. Sajanna Bethea is once again the team’s leading scorer with 11 points per game. The squad has struggled in a couple of categories this season, including 3-pointers made where they rank 330th out of 343 teams in the country, and steals where they rank last in the nation.
