Looks like 6'2" Helena Orts is transferring to the Acadamey of Art University in San Francisco for D2 basketball and drama. artuathletics.com/index.aspx?path=wbball&Translation: Helena Orts (1,86m / power forward / 1996), one of the great feelings last summer with the Spanish national team U19 and U20 as well as a freshman year in Fairfield more than promising, it is expecting a sophomore year at the university in Connecticut highlight but finally it was an irregular year for the former Femenà Sant Adrià .
That, coupled with the difficulty of combining sport with her other passion, drama, has led to Barcelona to request the transfer to the Academy Of Art University in San Francisco, where she will be eligible to play directly next season 2016 -17 to be Division II, and it is an institution where besides being able to play basketball, specializes in performing such qualifications. We have no one to congratulate Helena, one of the closest and happy while positive players, with charisma and personality, and we have confirmed their happiness with the change. Almost 5,000 kilometers between Fairfield and San Francisco. In a city of just over 60,000 inhabitants to another with more than 4,000,000 including the entire metropolitan area, where already waiting for you Valdeolmillos brothers, Sergio and Maria and sons of the coach, and who also play at the same university. Congratulations Helena Orts. Keep smiling.

Just in case anybody is interested: Helena Orts, who was not good enough for Joe Frager, just has won the European championship U20 for a second time. With 20 points she was top scorer for the new and old champion. And dont't get it wrong: The final between Spain and Italy was on an extremely high level.

Had a great final with 20, but over the 7 games, Orts was the 5th leading scorer for Spain. She's also playing with outstanding guards on an All Star team. You'll have games like that. And just in case anybody is interested, Orts wanted to pursue an acting career and Fairfield could not fulfill that for her. Wish her all the best.
