For the third time in four games, the Fairfield University Men's Soccer team played a game that extended into overtime. After posting a pair of 1-1 draws in their first two matches, the Stags were not as fortunate Monday evening. Fordham University scored just 39 seconds into overtime to secure a 2-1 victory over Fairfield, the team's first loss in four games this season. The Stags have scored just 5 goals (1.25 gpg) in their first 4 games.
The Stags (1-1-2) ended its season-opening four-game road trip at Fordham, setting up the team's first home game of the season on Saturday, September 10 at Lessing Field. The Stags will host Northeastern University (1-2-0) at 7 pm.
