Fairfield offered 2014 Vermont Academy forward Hassan Hussein, his coach announced.
Hassan Hussein is 6'8 face up four with an advanced scoring skill set for his size. Yesterday at a Vermont Academy Open Gym, Hussein picked up two new offers from Boston University and Manhattan to go along with already being recruited by Stanford, George Mason, Holy Cross, Columbia, Dartmouth, and VCU.
This season when Hassan becomes acclimated to the weight room and NEPSAC basketball, high majors will DEFINITELY start coming in bunches to see this prospect. Hussein plays on the aau circuit with national powerhouse DC Assault.
* Hassan Husseins ability to create his own shot of the dribble at that height and length is rare. He also has soft hands and a soft touch for a big man
Martin Geben, F/C, St. Maria Goretti, 2014: Offer from George Mason (Also has offers from Fairfield, G. Washington, Holy Cross, James Madison, St. Joseph’s, and Towson).
MDHigh.com... Martin Geben, F, 2014, St. Maria Goretti (Team Takeover): Geben (6-8) is a classic European face-up 4; he has great touch all the way to the three-point line and gets good position while rebounding. He has a James Madison offer and is drawing interest from a wide range of schools, including Alabama and Boston College. Geben's improvement in the past six months has been astounding, and he could blossom into a legitimate high-major prospect.
Martin Geben | 6-9 F/C | St. Maria Goretti (Md.) | 2014 Geben (pictured above) was an absolute force all day. The Lithuania native battled for boards, was a force in the lane, and knocked down open jumpers. Geben also turned heads with his ball handling ability, which is impressive for a player of his size and build.

Common theme in these recruits. Classic face-up big men who have the ability to shoot and handle better than most players of that height. In other words, perfect people to play in his Princeton type system that he favors.
This is what SJ & Staff have to do. Get in with these guys before their recruitment blows up. Seems like both players are kind of late bloomers. I just hope we can get a committment from one of them soon.
