Any word on direction of XC program, or new coach?

It looks like the University is still looking for a Coach: Head Coach, Men's & Women's Cross Country (part-time)Job Description:The Head Men's & Women's Cross Country coach will be responsible for administering all aspects of the intercollegiate cross country program including: recruiting and retaining qualified student-athletes, practice and meet preparation, student-athlete development, scheduling, coaching, budget management, fundraising, travel coordination, compliance with NCAA and conference rules, and other areas of sport administration. This is a part time position. Requirements:The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Candidate must also be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written), have the ability to multi-task and operate within an extremely motivated and team oriented atmosphere. A Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree preferred. The candidate should be certified or be willing to become certified in CPR/AED/First Aid. Lame duck AD, should not make the call Should have been more specific, the board didn't approve track. In fairness, Gene did present that the proposal to them. Though I'm not sure why things have to stop when someone is leaving their position. There's always tomorrow.

If the call was announced by Gene on his way out the door, it was obviously
approved by the administration. In speaking to him over the years, he did not
appear to be a big fan of XC.
