After recording the first three double-doubles of her career this past weekend, Mayda Garcia has been selected as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Player of the Week. Garcia led Fairfield University Volleyball with 3.29 kills per set and added 3.14 digs per frame in three matches at the Rambler Challenge in Chicago. "Mayda did a great job this weekend. She took some really good swings in all three matches," said Head Coach Todd Kress. "The opportunity to play all six rotations for us for the first time was great experience for her, and I couldn't have asked for more than what she gave us this weekend."www.maacsports.com/news/2017/9/5/fairfields-garcia-niagaras-hunt-canisius-leonard-earn-maac-volleyball-weekly-honors.aspx

Went to match at SHU tonight. Stags lost 3-1 playing very shorthanded. Day, Theiller & Buckley all sat out. I noticed only Day on the bench. Anyone know what the status of the 3 players is?

The Stags were led offensively by 14 kills from Mayda Garcia – the reigning Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Player of the Week.
