Fairfield Volleyball remained unbeaten in the MAAC with a 3-0 sweep at Quinnipiac on Friday evening in Hamden. The Stags, who won their 13th consecutive match overall tonight, stand at 12-0 in the conference after topping the host Bobcats by set scores of 25-22, 25-15 and 25-13. With the victory, the Stags officially clinched a berth in the upcoming MAAC Championship for the 24th straight season. The 2017 edition of the MAAC Volleyball Championship will be played at Alumni Hall on Nov. 17-19. "I was pleased with our serve-receive and passing game tonight," said Head Coach Todd Kress. "I thought we controlled the game from the end line and also passed well to where Manuela [Nicolini] could run the offense effectively."The Stags returns to Alumni Hall on Wednesday, Nov. 1 for a visit from Marist. The Red Foxes, who will host Rider and Saint Peter's this weekend, are currently 11-11 overall and 8-3 in the MAAC. The Stags swept Marist on Oct. 14 in Poughkeepsie.
