A tough way to end the season. After leading 1-0 at the half and most of the second half and then playing to a 1-1 Double Overtime tie against #10 Iona, the #7 Stags lose on Penalty Kicks (4-5). The Stags beat Iona 2-0 on Lessing Field on September 20. However, since September 23, the Stags were (2-5-1) going into today's game including (0-2-1) in their last three games and with no goals scored.
Iona now advances to the Quarterfinal Round on Sunday against #2 Manhattan at 11:15 am on ESPN3.

The prior admin has been too loyal to underperforming coaches. Change is good.

I wonder if the new AD knows that O'Brien is still on his Stag website's Woman Soccer Coaching Staff page? Probably not.

O'Brien has had a good career. I'm not sure I would call him underperforming? Maybe not enough recent success though.
