After posting three double-doubles to lead Fairfield University Volleyball to a share of the 2017 MAAC Volleyball Regular Season Championship, Megan Theiller has been named the MAAC Player of the Week. Theiller is the fourth different Stag to earn the award this season and joins Mayda Garcia (Sept. 5), Manuela Nicolini (Sept. 26) and three-time winner Skyler Day as the four Stags to have earned MAAC Player of the Week honors this fall. In addition, Taylor Rudeen was the tabbed as the MAAC Libero of the Week on Aug. 29. For the week, Theiller averaged 4.50 kills on .312 hitting and posted 4.10 digs per set in 10 total sets of work as the Stags dispatched Marist, Saint Peter's and Rider to earn at least a share of their 17th MAAC regular season crown since 1996. Theiller's week was highlighted by 19 kills on .529 hitting (19-1-34) in Sunday's sweep at Rider. "Megan had her best overall week since being back and capped it off with an outstanding performance at Rider with 19 kills and only one error," said Head Coach Todd Kress. "Her perseverance after her injury has brought her back to a high level as we near the end of the regular season, and that's a tribute to her unwavering work ethic and determination."www.maacsports.com/news/2017/11/7/fairfields-theiller-niagaras-hunt-sienas-jackson-earn-maac-volleyball-weekly-awards.aspx
