The Stags get no respect as the NCAA has the 2017 Men's Soccer Tournament bracket without Fairfield and New Hampshire listed in the First Round. They actually have listed Old Dominion vs. North Carolina State twice in the First Round with the winner playing at #15 Dartmouth and at #2 Indiana on November 19. How long before the Fairfield Athletic Office notices or the NCAA fixes it? www.ncaa.com/interactive-bracket/soccer-men/d1An hour later and somebody noticed but the Stags' record is not (8-5-4) as it is in the bracket but in reality it's (12-4-3). www.ncaa.com/game/soccer-men/d1/2017/11/16/fairfield-new-hampshire

Except that the Stags W/L record (12-4-2) is listed on the bracket as that of Old Dominion (8-5-4).

Why does NH as an at large invitee to the NCAA tourney get a home game and FF who won the regular season and the tourney have to travel! None sense!!The NCAA this week has the New Hampshire (12-3-4) RPI rank at #20, Rider (12-5-2) at #54 and Fairfield (12-4-3) at #60. www.ncaa.com/rankings/soccer-men/d1/ncaa-mens-soccer-rpi

Ok, that makes sense. The home game given to NH based on results/ accomplishments during the year (RPI) . can't argue.

It's really simple advice. So simple that it makes you scratch your head and say "Why didn't I think of that?" It's advice that Head Coach Carl Rees is imparting on his men's soccer team as it prepares for another run in the NCAA Tournament. "What I learned is that you need to play the opponent and not the occasion," Rees said. "I learned that right before the (MAAC) final because I was stressed. But I realized that all you need to do is beat the team in front of you and not worry about that it's a MAAC championship game or an NCAA tournament match. We always strive to just take what is at hand, give your best effort and the rest will fall into place.""I went to the Final Four in my first two years as a player (Hartwick College) and now I look back and recognize the significance of it," Rees said. "I realize now how difficult it was to get there. I think they (international student-athletes) understand that the NCAA Tournament is what we aim for as a program. Now that we are in the tournament, our goal is to win games as we did with our UConn result in 2006 (2-1 win ). Many of our guys have played in regional and national tournaments so I think they get the significance of what playing in the NCAAs really means.""We have momentum coming out of our conference tournament," Coach Rees said. "Now we just have to continue doing what we have been doing all season long. If we do that, than things will take care of themselves."

Felt like we had the ball on our end a lot, but could not get a quality shot. We got shots, but low percentage chances.
UNH got quality chances when they got the ball in their zone.
