The Stags' John Signore fairfieldstags.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=3433 was named one of Collegiate Baseball's National Player of the Week, becoming the second Stag ever to take home the award. Signore struck out a career-high 14 batters over eight two-hit innings allowing the Stags to take an eventual 1-0 extra inning victory at Canisius. "He mixed three pitches as well as you possibly can," Head Coach Bill Currier said. "His percentage of the three pitches he threw were very high. He worked efficiently, he worked quickly and did a great job of keeping them off balance. He pitched even better when he had runners on base."The Stags (6-13)(1-2) are back in action on Tuesday, March 27th at 3:00 pm at Central Connecticut State University.
