Baseball Scores Season-High 19 Runs in Win Over Stony BrookThe Fairfield University Baseball team had their best offensive output of the season, putting up 19 runs on 19 hits to win their second-straight game 19-10 over the visiting Stony Brook Seawolves on Alumni Baseball Diamond. Mike Caruso had the best game of his collegiate career with two hits, including a grand slam, and three runs scored. Kevin Radziewicz was another of the seven Stags with a multi-hit game as he recorded two base hits, including the 200th of his career. Every Stag starter tallied at least one hit, with Arciuolo and Gethings leading the squad with three a piece. Williams, Radziewicz, and Dan Ryan each drove in three runs while Arciuolo, Gethings, and Caruso all scored three times. The Stags, who have scored 30 runs in their last two games, will look to keep that offensive momentum going in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., when they take on Marist for a three-game series starting Saturday at Noon. Starting in 2018 the Richmond County Bank Ballpark in Staten Island, NY will be home to the MAAC Basbeball Championship through 2020. The six team double elimination tournament takes place over Memorial Day weekend.
