The final game of the 2018 season for the Fairfield University Baseball team was cancelled due to weather and field conditions at Monmouth. With the cancellation, the Stags will end the 2018 season with a 22-29 record and a 9-14 mark in the conference but fail to qualify for the MAAC Baseball Championship. However, the Stags had several individual accomplishments. Seniors Drew Arciuolo and Kevin Radziewicz both joined the Fairfield 200-hit club, becoming two of the seven players in program history to reach that number. Junior pitcher John Signore also recorded his 200th career strikeout, one of only four Stags to have attained that mark. Signore was also a three-time MAAC Pitcher of the Week and was named a National Player of the Week after a career-high 14 strikeout performance. The Stags finish the MAAC Regular Season in 9th place. The 2018 MAAC Baseball Championship field is made up of the top six teams from the regular season. Canisius College, Marist College, Monmouth, Niagara University, Quinnipiac University, and Siena College have clinched spots in the championship. 2018 MAAC Baseball Final Standings School-MAAC-Overall-StreakMonmouth *# 16-7 28-23 W2 Quinnipiac * 16-8 25-28 L1 Canisius * 16-8 31-20 W4 Siena * 14-10 19-33 L1 Marist * 14-10 26-21 L3 Niagara * 13-11 24-25 W1 Manhattan 13-11 25-28 L1 Iona 10-13 16-31 W1 Fairfield 9-14 22-29 L2Rider 7-16 12-35 W1 Saint Peter's 2-22 2-42 W1

Coming off an NCAA bid, and being picked 3rd, this result is disappointing.
