Some critical ball control issues and TOs from Alvarez. As much as it is a pleasure to watch him drive with gymnastic precision, it is so frustrating as we have more often seen this kid out of control.
Coaches don't seem to be getting through. He was benched in an earlier game but it has not stuck. Get under control Neftali and you WILL be a star.
For those at the game, are Benning and Milin hurt. No burn at all in the first half?
The lack of consistency as to how this roster is used from game to game-and even within a game has to be difficult for the players. It sure is for this fan. A coaching staff can make adjustments for an opponent or depending on how a game is transpiring. But player thrive when they understand their roles. And it seems the depth and deep bench we have this year is underutilized, especially when we have players on the floor getting extended minutes despite struggling.
Lemetti in 19 minutes is 0/5 FG all from 3pts and 2 fouls and 1 steal.
Alvarez' production is down too, but I'll take a close game, on the road, against an ACC team. At this point, no reason to believe a solid second half by the Stags couldn't produce the upset.

So you're disappointed that the coach's strategy has us playing darn near even with an ACC team on the road? Interesting.
