No word yet. Nice set of highlights from the UCONN camp.
The only sort of negative thing I'd note is that - to me - he doesn't look like he gets off the ground much for a kid his length.
With his long arms, he does not have to jump that high in order to Dunk. It looks like he is a 6-7...... 3-guard
My guess from some of the Tweets is that the High Majors are not offering, and the Mid Majors are offering, but Okani is waiting. With so many schools involved, we might not even be in the picture. Okani keeps on adding schools, but not taking any away.
Looks like Toby has hit the portal. Won't help from a offensive perspective but I think the team needs to get more athletic as well. If we see some movement on our current roster I think he can be a great athlete who can defend and work on his offensive game. I know scoring has been an issue but with potentially Curtis, Rogan, TJ and Leach on the roster I think having another athletic wing would be great for balance.
And maybe Ant Davis too, no? Isn't he supposed to be a real athletic player? At least that's the way he appears on film. No I don't think this would be a good player to pursue. OTOH someone who also performed for Duquesne this year and actually did very well as a freshman even though their team was awful was former Windsor great, PG Primo Spears. Outstanding first year in college averaging almost 13 PPG and 3 assists, all the while being fairly efficient even though his 3-point shooting wasn't great. If he ever entered the portal he would be the PERFECT guy to go after. The Stags need a PG badly, and he would fit the bill IMO.

But hes 6'8 so quite taller then Ant Davis and rebounds and is way stronger then AJR. Has AJR shown you enough to not recruit someone in the same position who is just flat out better?
Not to be salty, but 2020-21 team and 2021-22 were the same roster and that wasn't so great. So IMO, we need improvements across the board. I think we have good building blocks in Leach, TJ and Cook with solid role guys in Maidoh and AJR but why would you turn down an athletic wing who can rebound? He started 25 games over 2 years for a A10 team, I think he would fit in just fine in the MAAC/CAA.

There is always room to add better players but I still wonder with what scholarships? With the 3 commitments we have I wonder if we have room to add more than 1 maybe 2 players. So we have to be wise and add someone who is a missing piece / can be a difference maker. I am kind of thinking we may be set at forward with Rogan coming in, Crisler, Willis and Rose. But I am not sure about that assessment. Curious what others think. If you have one more scholarship available, what position would you recruit for?
Transfers should come from TOP level programs. I hesitate to compare Men's and Women's basketball, but Coach Frager's bringing in Sydney Lowery from BC made the difference in this year's team and got them a championship. Was she the best player on the team? Certainly not, but she was an experienced, battle tested, ACC level athlete who brought across the board talent.

We need a play-making PG and a inside out scoring PF who can rebound. Only position I wouldn't take is Center but every other position if we get a guy who can flat out take over and score, you take them.

I tend to agree. The Stags don't need JAG transfers/recruits. We have enough complementary players.

Sobro, couldn't agree more. A great addition who took the Championship game over in the 4th quarter. ACC experience was a huge difference

PG, PG, PG! You have to have a good PG if you want to go anywhere.

My hope is we get Saxby Sunderland, the HS Senior or a true PG transfer. I would even take both haha.
As much as Caleb really came into his own towards the end of the year we need to turn a new leaf, we already know more of the same from the last two years isn't getting this team anywhere.
