Pitt associate head coach Tim O’Toole was the first to reach out to Barry and they have a unique connection. “Tim O’Toole is actually my godfather. My dad played at Fairfield University with him back in the 80s,” he said. “They were actually roommates, so that’s one of my dad’s very good friends and just happens to be my godfather too, so it’s pretty funny.”

Certainly this might be a good match considering the connections. Barry BTW, despite playing for a lower-level Ivy League squad (didn't play this past year), got quite a bit of notice as a player, particularly in his ability to hit the long ball. Averaged right around 45% from 3 over three years of playing time. So I wouldn't be surprised if he is a Panther next season.
Gabriele Stefanini was on the same Bergan Catholic team as Taj Benning. I watch a few live games that year at Bergan Catholic and Stefanini and Benning teamed up pretty well. Stefanini was more of a PG and Benning played all guard positions. Would be great if they could play together at Fairfield. I think the Ivy League has screwed a lot of players.

JS I beat you to the punch (by about 5 minutes). Like the Eagles, you are a little slow today!

In addition to guards, Taj Benning and Gabriele Stefanini, Bergan Catholic had the 6-8 Thomas Bennnini, and a soph, 6-9 Matt Zona, who went to Notre Dame. I wanted us to take all of them. We ended up with Jalen Leach, who hopefully will be the best of all of them. Bergan Catholic is certainly a Catholic NJ pipeline for a school like Fairfield.
Eagles did stunk it up Yesterday. Could not stop a running quarterback.
Hope we are looking at Ivy transfers. No room for a season one for this year.
Also of note in that box score is that a recruit we supposedly lost out on at the last minute, Mehki Gray, played 8 minutes and scored 2 points in his college debut (for what it's worth).
Not only would Kiss be a perfect fit talent wise, but he is also an aggressive and rugged player. Perfect for the Jay Young system.
What I remember about Kiss in the one year he played for Quinnipiac was exactly what you are talking about, he was indeed aggressive, rugged, and I would also add in the word tough, both physically and mentally as part of his makeup. Another thing I would say about him as the enemy of the Stags that season was that he was a pain in the ass so to speak. I remember specifically that he was probably the player who was the most responsible for the Bobcats beating us in Bridgeport, and if a long shot by him in the rematch up in Hamden had gone in it would have been him again who would have been the villain. I'd rather have him on our side as the pain in the ass to the opponents on a nightly basis!
Well now it's been 11 months since our speculation and comments about Peter Kiss. 31 minutes a game average, 17 points, 5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 53% from the floor, 43% from 3 and 83% FTs are some of the key statistics he is posting as a member of the Bryant Bulldogs (and not the Stags). Think we could have used some of that?
