Stags tie it up, then Kelly puts Q ahead 53-51. Under 4 to go. I sure hope all of the missed FT's don't come back to haunt us, but they sure are looming large at this point.
Yeah... I mean that's mostly because KSP was the guy taking the FT and he's historically a 50% FT shooter.
Overall... 3-15 from 3p and 22-58 from the field (and that was with a couple of goal tending calls) was the bigger issue that I saw. Gotta put the ball in the basket.
Obviously we are challenged from the outside. Even Landon has been binconsistent- even when he does get an open shot. But what bothers me is that some of big guys have so much trouble scoring from underneath the basket. They either are off balance or not in good position when they go up with their shots. I know shots are contested underneath but our bigs need to be able play through some contact and get the ball to the rim. Sometimes looks we’re just throwing the ball up. Cruz can get shots up somehow using spins and turns etc. I’ m talking about a player who gets the ball close in on a pass or offensive rebound. Got to convert more of these opportunities. Maidoh’s dunks are the exception of course.
