Combine the move of the MAAC Tournament, date wise, so that they have to go up against the Big East and the A-10, with their no exposure TV contract, (only the final on broadcast TV, while I watch the entire Patriot Tourney this weekend on the CBS Sports Network) and you have a league that has rendered itself virtually invisible and completely out of the local sports conversation. Its an absolute disgrace.

Yeah not too great a move, that I agree with you. One correction though, I'm pretty sure the semi-finals get slated for national TV on ESPN-News. Of course a lot of people might not even know where to find that station.

Still ESPN News is BS option and is our only choice because we are now stacked against Championship Week.
Unless it has changed recently, I also believe many packages that have ESPN may not include News (and sometimes U).
This guy is a joke and why do the presidents support him? He has single handedly destroyed what was once a nice mid major conference.
First thing this guy should have placed in the contract was if AC wanted the tourney it had to be the week prior. I do like the Friday/Sat semis/championship but just a week earlier or even a Sat/Sun. I'd would have demanded they move the HS wrestling or we go elsewhere.
All the major conference tournaments will be showing those invited to the big dance including the Patriot who will be finished today. That's free publicity folks.
Every problem in this conference points back to the commish. And by their endorsements, our college presidents and ADs.
And now it's moot, as nothing will be done until he retires in a couple of years. Where is the leadership?

Sat, Sun, Mon. was never ideal, but when the quarters and semis were on MSG, every bar in the tri-state area had the MAAC Tournament on. Now, with all the competition, unless the bartender is an alum of a MAAC school, the Saturday final might not find its way onto one of the screens.
ESPN News (ESPNN) is Channel 216 on Optimum. (here on the East End of Long Island)
