Rice comes off his third MAAC Coach of the Year honors in 2020-21, just the third coach in the conference's history to accomplish the feat three times. Rice led the Blue and White to a regular season title, his third as the head coach, this past year and has 161 wins to his credit in 10 seasons....

Yes, those are the three. Jay, Sydney and Terry. Interesting that despite our lack of program success, nearly every coach, Mitch, Paul, Tim, and Ed all were recognized as coach of the year during their tenures.
A similar type question, which Fairfield coach or coaches failed to appear in a MAAC championship game?
The answer is Terry O'Connor, amazingly every other coach played in a MAAC tourney final including Jay and Sydney......

Just signed a five year extension to coach Monmouth through the 2025-26 season.
This makes sense to me because the “ King” has had some success at MU. His teams consistently finish in the upper half of the MAAC standings and he is well respected in the league. Unlike the extension given to the Niagara coach who IMO has not established that he can produce an upper echelon team consistently in the conference. I want to see a reward for consistent performance and apparently the MU administration sees it that way!
