Not a preseason magazine, but a Post article where Young states Cook has gotten stronger in the offseason and is continuing that improvement in preseason practices.

And for those who were hoping someone other than Norlander would do a 1-358 ranking of all D1 teams, the link is to SI’s rankings.

Definitely great to hear Supreme is progressing and improving as he gets ready for his second year as a Stag. Certainly he could make a big difference if he could become one of the best big men in the league, especially because as well as having the ability to do things that good centers and forwards do such as rebounding and protecting the basket as part of good defense, he showed an ability at times last season to be a go to guy down low who could get you a basket once in awhile. But in that regard he could be very up and down as far as being effective in that he would sometimes travel or turn the ball over. And on top of that he was not very good at passing the ball back out of the post, something that led to a very poor assist/turnover rate which hurt the team. So in reading this I would like to think that Young, while referring to his improved strength as an improvement, might also be suggesting that other parts of his game are getting better. Now as far as competing against Watson in particular, it's got to be all hands on deck against the Friar's big man whom Cooley has stated should be one of the best bigs in the nation and a guy he would take over anyone to go to war with. Whatever happens, I hope Supreme doesn't lose confidence if he has a poor game next week. Over the long haul he should be fine, especially when he gets into MAAC competition, and that's exciting to think about.
