It’s the time of the year that Fairfield office of admissions is looking for people to sponsor this award. It’s a great way to help the University, and they are only looking for $40. Here is what it is all about.
- Every year Fairfield identifies a Junior at a High school that is worthy of this Award. - It is presented to them at an assembly or in a class function as a means of recognizing this student. - The book has your name in it as the sponsor - This program has been a huge success of helping to attract quality students to Fairfield
I have been part of this program for a while, and have been Sponsoring a junior each year at St Joes Prep in Philly. But the great thing about this program, is that anybody can probably choose the high school of your choice. Could be your HS, your Kids HS, or in my case, just a HS I wish to support. This award is currently given out at 180 High Schools, and I am sure that Fairfield wants to expand this program.
This year’s book is Grand Central Terminal: Railroads, Engineering and Architecture, written by Fairfield professor Dr.Kurt Schlichting

You should send the book to a LaSalle student instead of the one the Prep's (unless the book is primarily pictures and doesn't use big words - if that's the case (and i doubt it is with Dr. Schlichting's name on it), then it would be suitable for anyone from SJP).
