Not sure who decided that just a red F whould be the best logo but as a fellow proud alumni member or as a Stag fan, what do you think that the Fairfield Athletics' logo should be, especially at center court of the new A&CC?
I prefer the combination logo of the stag in motion . That logo indicates movement forward which is the image we should be projecting at FF. The big “F” is static, not moving and is not a progressive image. It will be interesting to see what brand will be used at the new ACC. There are two prominent locations at that ACC that are clearly visible from outside the building and been designed by the architects in order to display a brand. 1) Front exterior facade by the recplex 2) the wall behind the interior staircase from the entrance level to the second floor stags club. I am guessing you will see two large “F” at both locations.
I voted for some combination of the F and the Stag. I can understand why the university would try to get away from the stag given that a majority of students are women and probably don't care to see their school identified by a male deer. However, it is a unique mascot and the one that has identified the school throughout its history, so I would like to see it preserved in some form.

I love the block F. It is unique, bold and memorable. It reminds me of the Georgetown block G which they brand on everything and everywhere. Georgetown did away with the Jack the Bulldog logo in 1995.
However, I do think Fairfield needs to intersperse the Stags logo and full Fairfield name depending on the circumstances. The basketball floor prominently displays the Fairfield name on the end line. There really should be a very prominent full Fairfield name in Rafferty Stadium whether the field or grandstand. I agree that the PLL broadcast was not fully capitalized upon to brand and create awareness of the University. The block F logo alone was insufficient in those circumstances. Fortunately, the ESPN broadcasters and social media talked up the facilities and University.
Quinnipiac did it right...
