Two Catholic colleges in town with many eligible voters. The late Doc Orman would have rallied the troops. I don’t think we flex our muscle enough.

Hold on here. Lets get real. They have been holding this vigil FOR YEARS on Town Hall Green and no one is blocking that. Their religious liberty and freedom of expression are in NO way being denied. I’d say town hall is pretty visible AND it is where the town Christmas tree stands. They say the move is to improve visibility. Why, does no one know this is Christmas? This is simply a group looking to make this a political football. Personally I’m sick of all religions trying to shove their beliefs down peoples throats who want no part of it. No one is denying freedom of expression or religion here. Its a manufactured controversy.

^Indeed. A beautiful crèche is displayed every Christmas season a few blocks down Post Road outside St Thomas Catholic Church where it belongs. If it matters so much, stand there to broadcast your devotion.

BTW, the Knights got their way. Guess the town felt there was a better use of town funds than fighting a group of guys looking to make a political point.
AND YES, Walk 75 yards west, and you have all the room you want, right smack in the center of town, and a beautiful, more elaborate creche outside St Thomas church.
And THIS IS THE HOME BASE of the Knights. Proves this whole thing was a bunch of nonsense.

Score one for the good guys. This “group” is one of the most respected charitable organizations in the country. They donate > tens of millions of dollars and volunteer hours yearly to terrific charitable causes. The same hypocrites on this blog criticizing the KofC would be the first to sing the praises of any atheist or satanist group filing a lawsuit for the right to install some hateful display on public land.

And both groups have a constitutional right to do so. I'm sure the KofC does good things. But THIS was a waste of time IMO. They had a great location but had to make a point. Not their most altruistic activity.

Nothing hypocritical about criticism here. What does their charitable work have to do with their display at Sherman Green? I don’t see anything Christian about what they’ve done. Spite is not a good look for “the good guys.”
