Stags win 17-5! Best overall game I have seen them play in a while. Great defensive performance, good goal play from Snyder who has recently gotten the call, good face offs, good clears, and very good movement on offense.
We do need to work on the turnovers.
This game should give the team some confidence heading into some tougher games. We should be able to compete!

A nice win but this was SHU not Delaware.
Encouraging but in no way indicative of how the Stags will perform in the CAA.

But, they did look good in many facets of the game (I was particularly happy with the way they were moving the ball around on Offense), plus nice confidence booster as they face some tougher competition.

"I wouldn't call it a complete game, but it's certainly as close as we've come to that so far," said Head Coach Andrew Baxter, who is 3-0 all-time against Sacred Heart. "We learned a lot from our first two games, and it was a good step to see our guys implement what we've been working on out on the field tonight."The Stags win the Battle for Fairfield against winless NEC Sacred Heart but still 7 goals in the first half and 10 goals in the second half for the Stags. The 12-goal differential (17-5) was also the Stags' largest margin of victory ever on Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium, which opened in 2015. Sacred Heart drops to 0-3 with the loss. Fairfield Men's Lacrosse is now (27-32)(.457) at Rafferty Stadium. Box Scorefairfieldstags.com/boxscore.aspx?path=mlax&id=13402652 fans at Rafferty Stadium for the home opener. Will Consoli, Bryce Ford and Jack McKenna each posted five points in the Stags' home opener win. Fairfield (2-1) is back on the road this Sunday, Feb. 26 for a 1 p.m. opening faceoff at A-10 Richmond on ESPN+. The Spiders are 1-1 on the season and will host perennial CAA contender Towson (1-1) on Friday on ESPN+ before welcoming the CAA Stags to Robins Stadium.
