An important game for the stags to win because after this game with Drexel the stags will be on the road at U. Delaware which is the leading team in the CAA. Losing two games in a row will be the death blow to an already disappointing stag lax season. Let’s hope the stags can play a good game on both offense and defense. Consistency has been a problem all season long! Stags up!

Stags 5-10 at the half and outscored 6/1 in the Second Quarter. Stags had jumped out to a 2-0 lead with goals by McKenna and Ford in the first 2:43 of the game. Jack McKenna with hat trick and Bryce Ford with 2 goals so far. Stags 5-11 as Drexel scores again 54 seconds into the Third Quarter. Stags 8-12 at the end of the Third Quarter. Stags outscore Drexel 3/2 in the quarter. Stags 10-12 at 4:30 into the final quarter. Stags 11-12 with 8 minutes left in the game. Stags 11-15 with 3 Drexel goals in just over a minute and now 3:15 left in the game. "I told the guys in the locker room that I was proud of their effort," said Head Coach Andrew Baxter. "We talk a lot about being 'one play warriors' and we did a much better job of that in the second half. We didn't play to the scoreboard, we focused on the play in front of us and competing up to our standard. But we need to do a better job of that for a full 60 minutes." "Drexel is a very good team that thrives in unsettled situations – they win faceoffs and 50/50 balls, they can run and they have a lot of guys that can finish," Baxter noted. "You can't necessarily prepare for that as well as you can prepare for a settled offense, you just have to win more of those 50/50 balls and stop those situations from happening. But they did a better job than us on 50/50 balls today and that led to a few goals that were a big part of the difference." Stags comeback in 2H and get the score to 12-11 and then the defense sucks allowing Drexel to score 3 goals in 90 seconds. FF now 1-2 in CAA play and heading to the bottom of the league standings once again.

I am afraid the outcome of this game might be very ugly for FF. Stags have not exactly played a killer of a schedule and are under.500. This game against a nationally ranked team on the road could be a 20 goal loss.
