Our offensive line up from top to bottom can burn any MAAC team this season. Bats need to stay alive. Our defense has also been very good this year. Congrats to Jake who had a great game. Did anyone notice the incredible amount of dust being kicked up on the the infield at Clover Stadium? It reminded me of my local Babe Ruth field when growing up that was like a sand box. I hope these conditions are not the same for the MAAC playoffs. I wanted to run out there with a hose between innings. I would assume when the pro team plays there, the pre-game maintenance fixes this condition. It just amazes me that Manhattan College has to drive 40 miles to play a home game on this terrible dust bowl. How many high school, college and municipal fields are there between Riverdale and Pomona? Even St Peters can find a local field. Again, the low rent MAAC raises it's ugly head.

Colin McVeigh went seven strong innings and Bowen Baker struck out five in the final two frames to lead the Fairfield University Baseball team (17-11)(7-1) to a 6-2 win over the Manhattan Jaspers (8-21)(2-3) on Friday night. At the plate, Matt Bucciero drove in three and Ethan Hibbard plated a pair in the victory. "Colin had very good life on his fast ball tonight and didn't make many mistakes with location," Head Coach Bill Currier said. He did a great job getting length out of a good pitch count. We jumped out early by taking advantage of hits and free bases, but then weren't aggressive enough to keep the hits coming. We needed to do a better job tonight staying aggressive and not taking too many strikeouts".Box Scorefairfieldstags.com/sports/baseball/stats/2023/manhattan/boxscore/13249As was announced before the game, the location and time for the series finale has changed.
