Highlighted by a trio of major individual awards, the Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse brought home a total of 10 All-MAAC distinctions as part of end of season conference awards. fairfieldstags.com/sports/womens-lacrosse/rosterAfter seeing the Stags to a (12-4) record in the regular season including (7-1) in league play, Head Coach Laura Field has been named the 2023 MAAC Coach of the Year, while in addition the Stags also claimed both Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year honors from the MAAC with Olivia Doody and Caroline Mangan taking those respective awards. Alongside the awards, eight other players also brought home All-MAAC honors, taking three spots at each of the offensive, midfield, and defensive positions in addition to Nicollette LaVista tabbed to the All-MAAC First Team as a draw specialist. On attack, Olivia Doody was named to the first team with Libby Rowe and Elizabeth Talluto earning second team honors with 55 and 54 points, respectively. A trio of players landed on the All-MAAC Second Team in the midfield, with Maggie Fort, Rylee Harrell and Haley Burns each taking awards for the squad. Defensively, Mangan was named a unanimous First Team honoree. Womens Lax is alive and kicking. Hopefully, they can win the MAAC tournament and be the NCAA rep! Stags up!
