It's embarrassing that a D1 school plays at Veterans Park, especially a school that had Bobby Valentine as its AD until recently. I get that baseball is a non-revenue-generating sport, and SHU had the Ballpark at Harbor Yard pulled out from under them. But that's a few years ago now. The shame is, they are a decent program.

Everything stated is accurate. And with that in mind, for any Stag fans that might want to show up for this contest, here's a hint, bring a lawn chair with you. Not much in the way of bleacher seating (unless they have added any from previous years). And unless you get there early and can find some space to put your chair behind the backstop, be prepared to observe the game from a hill on the first base side with a partially obstructed view from the dugout down below. And OBTW, if in fact they have the same scoreboard as in the past, the numbers are so small that it is hard to decipher them if you don't have something like 20/20 vision. Other than that it's a pleasant place to watch a game.

Veteran’s Memorial Park – Sacred Heart PioneersStarting in 2001, the Pioneers played their home games at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard in neighboring Bridgeport. The ballpark, which also served as home to the Atlantic League’s Bridgeport Bluefish, was closed in 2017 to be converted to an outdoor concert venue. Sacred Heart was forced to split their 2018 home schedule among several area ballparks, primarily the CCSU Baseball Field. For 2019 the school found a home closer to campus at neighboring Veteran’s Memorial Park, right across the street from the Sacred Heart campus....While Veteran’s Memorial Park is a nice, quaint community ballpark, it’s not likely to be anything more than a temporary spot for the Pioneers while they await their permanent home. Until then, this is a destination for only the most ardent Pioneer baseball fan or ballpark chaser. www.stadiumjourney.com/stadiums/veterans-memorial-park-sacred-heart-pioneers

Worst place in America to watch a game. First of all you can’t find it. Then once in, there is not one spot either in the scant bleachers or with your own chair where you can plant yourself and see the entire field. The field itself appears to be in good shape. You just can’t see it. Just Horrible.
