See 73s post above. It’s a combination of full scholarships, staffing, league and dollar commitment.

See 73s post above. It’s a combination of full scholarships, staffing, league and dollar commitment. So, if I understand correctly, you’re saying 73’s post above in addition to the other factors you mention clarifies why MBB, WBB, and MLax are our Tier 1 programs. 73’s post has a link to the athletic championship history of our sports programs. I see more league championships and NCAA appearances for the WLax program than for the MLax program. So I assume that means we give more full scholarships etc. to men’s lacrosse than to women’s lacrosse. Is that correct? And that’s why men’s lacrosse is tier 1 and women’s lacrosse isn’t?

Tier one has been explained to me in the past. I also it being explained to my freshman roommate who played soccer - Chappy explained things bluntly on day one to them. Lots of factors-league commitment, title 9, scholarships, budget etc. wbb is tier one because Diane Nolan forced it to be (correctly IMO). I don’t know why Mlax is but womens isnt. Donors probably have much to do with that. MLax has active and generous alums.
