Fairfield University Baseball infielder Charlie Pagliarini was named the Eastern Conference Athletic Conference (ECAC) Player of the Year, becoming the first Stag in program history to earn that honor. Pagliarini had an historic season that saw him break six school records including: home runs (24), RBI (97), total bases (177), slugging percentage (.851), on-base percentage (.528), and walks (49). He won the MAAC's Triple Crown with his .399 batting average to go along with his league-leading 24 home runs and 97 RBI. He shattered the conference's single-season record in RBI that had stood for over a decade, besting the mark by 16. For his success, he has been named a Collegiate Baseball Newspaper All-American Third Team, the NEIBA Player of the Year, the MAAC Player of the Year, and an ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team selection. ecacsports.com/news/2023/6/12/ecac-announces-2023-di-baseball-all-ecac-team-and-major-award-winners.aspx"I'm proud for having one of our best Fairfield Baseball players recognized as the top position player in the Nprtheast region," Head Coach Bill Currier said. :He had one of the best power and RBI lines of any player I have coached in 38 years in D1 baseball."fairfieldstags.com/news/2023/6/13/baseball-pagliarini-named-ecac-player-of-the-year.aspx

Good for Charlie I can only imagine the work he has put in over the years to achieve his success. Nice to see it pay off. He is a lock to become a member of the FF HOF in the future. I hope to root for him some day in MLB. Go Charlie! Go Stags!
