6’1” Danny Carbuccia from Archbishop Stepinac NY has a few high major offers along with several mid-major offers, including one from us. Tweet spells his last name Carbuccio but verbalcommits among others lists him as Carbuccia.
Another class of ‘25 offer we have out is to Jake West, who plays for the George School in Pennsylvania. He is listed among those who stood out at the Atlantic City Jam Fest.
Jake West (2025 | Team Final Red EYBL 16U) Though West draws crowds to his game due to his impressive TikTok following, there’s no doubt the 6-2 guard has game to match. West was always talented with the ball in his hands but he’s really emphasizing his role as a point guard, dishing out six assists to go along with 13 points and a steal in the 16U title game. West was efficient with his touches (5-7 FG, 2-3 FT, 1-2 3PT), but it was his court vision and playmaking that stood out, as he made some tough passes, and every dish he makes is right on the money.

No not good news at all for Stag fans (or all those other mid-majors). But from the high school perspective as I noted earlier in this thread, this kid has a lot of upside and will continue to create buzz among state basketball fans. Look for him to compete for the CIAC POY while playing for East Catholic in 2023-24.
Tweet/X stating that 6’6” ‘25 forward Ryder Frost will be visiting Fairfield on September 1st. Doesn’t specify if it’s an official or unofficial visit.
A CoBL article with some information on our only ‘25 center scholarship offer so far, according to verbalcommits.
Luke Bevilacqua (2025 | George School) The 6-10 center did just about everything one could've asked of him against Downingtown West. With physicality and flexibility, Bevilacqua created for himself down in the post. He displayed his improvements as a technician by getting to a hook shot over his left shoulder and by scoring with either hand. His jumper was on point too, knocking down two middies and pulling up from three in transition. Bevilacqua put up 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists in a dominant performance.
We’ve offered Luke. But he already has offers from Xavier, Penn State, and Iowa and his first official visit is Harvard so I’d be surprised if he ends up at Fairfield. Have to wonder if one or both of his Hands are Cool. Apologies to ReindeerFan. Here’s a link for those unfamiliar with the ‘60’s film: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cool_Hand_Luke
New offer last week to forward Declan Wucherpfennig of Bergen Catholic. I believe that’s the school Taj Benning attended and Taj mentioned in the latest Open Court podcast that Jalen Leach was a teammate of Taj’s at Bergen before Jalen attended Tipton in New Hampshire.
