Tuesday, Sept. 19 is Town of Fairfield Night at Lessing Field! Join Fairfield Men's Soccer (3-3-0)(0-1-0) for a non-conference clash with Harvard (0-2-3) kicking off at 7 p.m. Discounted $3.00 tickets are on sale for Fairfield town residents with a valid proof of residency. Interestingly tonight's game is also Camp Reunion Night. All men’s soccer camp attendees can wear their camp t-shirt to receive FREE admission. On September 30th it is Healthcare Workers Appreciation Day at Lessing Field with FREE admission for registered healthcare workers instead of the usual $5.00 ticket price. If the goal of the Athletic Department and the marketing consultants is to get more of the local community and our area alumni on campus and connected to the University then why not just make tonight's game FREE instead of save $2.00? fairfieldstags.com/sports/mens-soccer/schedule

I don’t see anything wrong with charging a nominal amount for the town of Fairfield night. You don’t always have to give away for free your athletic events. I really don’t think any town resident wanting to attend the soccer game is suddenly going to stop and turnaround because it costs 3 bucks to attend the match.

I wonder if anyone has seen anything locally or anywhere in town about the Stag Men's Soccer's promotion - Town of Fairfield Night at Lessing Field? Any promotion is only as good as when people actually know about it.

There was actually a much larger than normal crowd last night at Lessing Cave - 786 - on what became a very brisk evening.
Left at halftime down 3-0 and missed the attempted comeback as the Stags fall 4-2.

Fairfield Soccer @stagsmenssoccer Got a pair on the board after halftime, but the Crimson take this one. 49’ Pierce (Amir assist) 65’ Pierce (PK) #WeAreStags 🤘 Fairfield University Men's Soccer brought life to Lessing Field with a dynamic second half but the Stags rally fell short as Harvard University came away with a 4-2 win. "They have some special players with very good individual skills and we had trouble when they got isolated," Head Coach Carl Rees said. "We changed our shape and that helped us. I am really proud of the guys for coming back with the spirit and the fight."Box Score fairfieldstags.com/sports/mens-soccer/stats/2023/harvard/boxscore/13689Fairfield (3-4-0)(0-1-0) will return to MAAC play on Saturday when the team travels to Rider University (4-1-2)(1-0-0) for a 7 pm match.

Paulie, you left too soon. My grandson played the entire second half. I was looking for you. Where were you sitting?

Runningman, I was a bit under prepared for the chilly evening so I packed up and left. Sitting in a lawn chair at mid field in front of the press box where they forgot to build bleachers.😂
