"Obviously we're happy to get the three points," Head Coach David Barrett said. "It's crucial that we keep our momentum going. I thought we played a lot of good minutes tonight. They're difficult to break down, they put a lot of numbers in front of the goal. We have to be more efficient in our finishing. We had a lot of good looks in the first half and if we finish the looks that we are getting we will make life easier for us. We're looking to build from here."210 fans on a very wet night at Lessing Field. Nice win on a horrible night. Hats off to those hardy fans who endured the wind, rain and chill at "Lessing Cave". Even watching the stream was a challenge on what is normally a dark field. Visibility was further compounded by rain covered camera lenses, fog and intense rain at times. On the positive side, the field itself held up beautifully. Credit to whomever is responsible to maintain it. The natural surface performed well. I hope the plans to turf this field are scrapped as should weekend night games until lighting is upgraded.
