Stags (8-1)(12-5) take down Rider 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-15) Stags started the 3rd set with an 11-0 run. "We have been steadily improving in terms of our shot selection and decision making, and those are two things that really drove our attack today," said Head Coach Nancy Somera. "Any time you hit .366, it's not just about your hitters. We passed the ball well for the most part, which kept us in system and gave Blakely plenty of options running our offense."190 fans including the Stag Women's Basketball team at Mahoney Arena on a wet chilly day for the win. The stags .366 hitting in VB is outstanding . VB hitting percentages are a lot like baseball hitting percentages. In VB you want to be .200 or above. A percentage of .300 or above makes you an all star. A percentage of.400 makes you Ted Williams.

Fairfield Volleyball @stagsvb Join us today for our Herd For a Cure match to benefit @cancercouch β€οΈ www.thecancercouch.com/#WeAreStags π€ Stags win first set 1-0 (25-7) against St. Peter's. Tied 7-7 in the second set. Stags win 3-0 (25-7, 25-23, 25-11) with a .327 hitting percentage in the match to go to (9-1)(13-5). "Three matches in five days at this stage of the season is a bit of a grind, and overall, I'm happy with how we performed during this stretch," said Head Coach Nancy Somera. "We are a competitive group, and I think that shows in our consistency and in the way that we have maintained a high level of play lately. Even in situations like the second set today where we were tied at 22-22, I think we thrive in that kind of environment, and playing in more scenarios like that will only help us going forward."154 fans at the game. Fairfield challenges Canisius on Saturday at noon, then visits Niagara on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Stags will also visit Quinnipiac on Oct. 29 before returning to Mahoney Arena on Nov. 1 to kick-off a three-match homestand with the return match against Manhattan.

Stags win the match vs St. Peteβs 3-0. Stags hit over .300 for the 2nd match in a row. The peacocks hit a paltry .092. Their VB program is really an embarrassment. For the second year in a row they most likely be zero wins for an entire season.
