Fairfield University Women's Soccer sophomore Alex Darcy was named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring the game-winning goal and dishing out an assist in the regular season finale against Saint Peter's. Darcy, who earns her first career Player of the Week accolade, becomes the seventh different Stag to earn a weekly award from the conference office this season.
"Alex has really come back well from her injury at the start of September," Head Coach David Barrett said. "She is hitting good form just in time for the playoffs!"
Darcy attempted a career-high four shots in the match with two of those on target. She has now netted three goals in her career with a pair this year.

Sophomore forward Alex Darcy tallied a goal and dished out an assist in Fairfield's victory over Saint Peter's. She tallied the game-winner by scoring the opening goal of the game in the 12th minute of the match against the Peacocks and also found Maddy Theriault for an assist to put the Stags up 2-0 in the 31st minute of the first half.

Darcy and the rest of the second seeded Stags are back in action on Thursday night when they host a MAAC Women's Soccer Semifinal match against fourth-seeded Mount St. Mary's on Lessing Field at 7pm on ESPN+.
